Our favorite clients seem to be the ones that open a door to a world of experiences.  She called a couple of weeks ago and asked us to sell her home. Her insurance agent at AAA had referred her. She is 91 and ready to move to a retirement village in South Carolina. She has lived in her home for 60 years having moved there as a young bride, and raised her family in the home. Her parents lived in the apartment upstairs. She thanked me every time I showed her home and we had many wonderful conversations, sharing stories over tea and chocolates, about her work, raising her family and her values. We put her clean, and very well maintained North Park 2 flat up for sale, and quickly put it under contract after receiving multiple offers and selling it for more than the list price. Now the hard part. We need the Village. Gathering estimates from electrician, HVAC, window company, movers and estate sale providers. Although she won’t be taking much of her furniture to the new apartment when she moves, she is leaving behind a wonderful legacy for all of us to smile about.
