FAMILY FRIENDLY RESTAURANTS WITH OUTDOOR DINING IN LINCOLN SQUARE

Now is the time to enjoy the many family friendly restaurants with outdoor seating in the Lincoln Square neighborhood.   Many are in close proximity to one another in the cozy strip on Lincoln Ave. from Lawrence Ave. to Sunnyside.   Each offers a unique menu.

Garcia’s Mexican Restaurant recently renovated its indoor dining area to include floor to ceiling windows that open for an al fresco feel.   Good chips and salsa.

Café Selmarie is a popular breakfast, lunch, and dinner spot any time of year but is especially desirable when the weather is nice.   It is a nice place to meet friends for lunch as their soups, salads, and sandwiches always hit the spot.   Grab their homemade baked items on the way out for a nice mid-day treat.

Patrons of Potbelly Sandwich Shop can enjoy its outdoor table space and then head into Coldstone Creamery next door which is always a hit with the kids.

Costello Sandwich and Sides is another sandwich shop with outdoor seating that is a big family draw.   Their sandwiches are tasty and filling.

Daily Bar & Grill at Lincoln/Wilson offers outdoor seating near the Old Town School of Folk Music which offers many children’s music, dance, and art classes.

Bad Dog Tavern on Lincoln Avenue just south of Wilson has really good food.   I have eaten there for both lunch and dinner on different occasions and always enjoyed a tasty meal.   The outdoor patio is large and is a great place to gather for lunch or dinner.

42 N Latititude offers contemporary American cuisine at the corner of Lincoln Ave. and Sunnyside with an outdoor patio that has a park side view of Welles Park.   It is another Lincoln Square restaurant/bar that serves a nice outdoor dining experience within walking distance to all the shops along Lincoln Avenue.

These are just a few of the restaurants along Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Square where you can find a cuisine to suit your taste and enjoy your meal in the Great Chicago Outdoors.
