Location
Bounded by Chicago Avenue on the north, Lake Michigan on the east, Roosevelt Road on the south, and Halsted Street on the west, Chicago’s downtown area is the city’s commercial and entertainment hub. Downtown also contains the Loop, a smaller area surrounded by a loop of el train tracks, which contains many cultural institutions and the city’s financial district.
