Don™t miss this fun evening where you can celebrate with friends and help support Andersonville™s local, green and fabulous business community. All About Andersonville is scheduled for Wednesday April 28 from 6:00-8:00 pm, at Mary™s Attic, 5400 N Clark Street.
This annual event helps support Andersonville™s initiatives that are key to the vibrant, walkable business district populated almost entirely by unique, locally owned independent businesses. Andersonville™s Initiatives include the weekly Farmers Market, retail business attraction, streetscape recycling, Eco Andersonville and the Facade and Green Building Incentive Program, sustainable business certification, and Green Week. A strong business district supports local real estate values and helps to attract new owners to purchase homes in the neighborhood.
The celebration will feature cocktail music by Ellen Shepard and Drew Edwards, hors d™oeuvres and one free drink included in ticket. Bid on fantastic auction items, trips, pamper packages, home dinners, theater. Tickets are $25 in advance, $35 at door. Purchase tickets online or by calling 773 728 7552.
Andersonville is a unique, walkable destination with a rich heritage. Transit via Metro, the el and busses is easy. Although a city neighborhood, with an active business district, its residential areas are green and peaceful. And it is fun to shop in its commercial strip where most of its historic architecture is intact. You can feel good about purchasing from local businesses such as Green Genes, a boutique carrying environmentally friendly products for your family.
